Forgings and castings look similar, but they do have quite a few differences. Here are a few ways to easily distinguish them.
1. Touch
The surface of a casting should be thicker, and the surface of a forging should be brighter
2. Appearance
The cast iron part is gray and dark, while the forged steel part is silver and bright
3. Listen
Listen to the sound, the forging is dense, the sound is crisp after knocking, and the casting sound is dull
4. Grinding
Grind it with a grinder to see if the sparks of the two are different (generally forgings will be brighter), etc.
