Titanium forged blocks and forgings—whether produced via open-die or closed-die forging—are widely used across many industrial sectors. They are manufactured from commercially pure titanium (e.g., Grades 2, 3, and 4) or titanium alloys (e.g., Grades 5, 7, 9, and 12), as well as other high-strength titanium alloys.
Titanium forgings offer the advantages of high strength and the ability to form complex geometries and contours. Unlike other manufacturing processes, forging avoids load peaks at shaped areas, instead creating zones of work-hardened material. The process involves forging the material on conventional forging presses.
Forging parameters—such as the degree of deformation, forging temperature, and duration—are determined based on the specific properties of the pure titanium or alloy and the dimensions of the billet.
Before reaching final dimensions, the billet typically undergoes multiple cycles between the heat treatment furnace and the forging unit. Forging within a strictly controlled temperature range is crucial for achieving the desired mechanical properties and microstructure. Subsequently, conventional machining equipment can be used to shape the billet into its final profile. We also offer forgings that have undergone stress-relieving and annealing treatments.
